A commission piece I did for a client in May of 2015. Graphite drawing with carbon dusting. 

This was a commission piece for a grandson who wanted his grandmother's wedding day photo turned into a timeless drawing. Graphite with carbon dusting. 

I met Mr. Millar at a friend's house for dinner one night back in February. Once he discovered I was a portrait artist, he began describing this photo that had been taken of him on his farm. From the black and white, wrinkles, grey braided beard and cigar description, I was sold! Thus was born the drawing of Mr. Millar.

Hunting, I've learned is something so much deeper and beautiful than a non-hunter might think. It creates a bond, a fulfillment that covers , mind, body and soul. This is a commission I did for some friends.
